Rome is preparing to welcome over half a million young people from 146 countries for the Jubilee of Youth, the largest event of the 2025 Catholic Holy Year. The weeklong celebration, running from July 28 to August 3, will feature religious ceremonies, guided tours, and opportunities for spiritual growth and international fellowship. Pilgrims from across the globe—including large groups from Korea, Africa, the U.S., and the Middle East—will participate in events designed to foster hope, unity, and peace among youth. The Vatican and local organizers are emphasizing the Jubilee as a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience akin to World Youth Day, with special access to Rome’s Holy Doors and major gatherings led by Pope Francis. For those unable to attend in person, livestreams and local events are being organized to ensure global participation.
